Abstract (EN)
Concrete, which is one of the basic building materials of the construction sector, is a composite material produced from a minimum of 3 different materials. These are aggregate, cement and water. In a reinforced concrete structure, it is known that the most load comes from concrete. The fact that concrete is a heavy construction material affects the earthquake behavior of the buildings negatively. In this thesis, carrier light concrete is produced by using expanded clay aggregate and limestone aggregate together, its properties are compared with traditional concrete with regard to physical and mechanical properties. For this purpose, firstly limestone aggregates in traditional concrete; It was displaced by 40% by volume with expanded clay aggregates of small size (0-3 mm), medium (3-8 mm), and large (8-16 mm) and Two separate Dmax (16 and 22.4 mm) of value 8 separate concrete series were prepared: 6 carrier light and 2 traditional control series. The changes in weight and compressive strength of these samples were interpreted for all series. In the Dmax 16 and 22,4 mm concrete series where small expanded clay aggregates are used, their compressive strength is 50,54; 56,86 MPa respectively, and the strength of the expanded clay aggregates is higher than that of control concretes (45,64; 53,18 MPa) with the addition of pozzolonic properties. The unit volume weight values of these series were 2,11; 2,15 g / cm3 for Dmax 16 and 22,4, respectively. The lowest unit volume weight values of the series using large expanded clay aggregate average 1,87 g / cm3 was obtained. The compressive strength of these series decreased by 56;55% on average compared to the Dmax 16 and 22,4 control series.
