Özet (EN)

Geotextiles are permeable fabrics that can separate, filter, reinforce, protect, or evacuate when used with soil. Geosynthetics, generally used for reinforcement purposes, are also used in civil engineering applications. Geotextile, which is a type of geosynthetic material, contributes to providing a more economical, ergonomic, and useful solution by using it instead of classical solutions or together with classical solutions. Therefore, in recent years, it has become a type of material that has become increasingly common in the field of geotechnical engineering and has found a wide field of application, in geosynthetic products consisting of polymer, whose raw material is a combination of the words poly (many) and meras (partial), as the weight of the polymer increases, properties such as strength, elongation, impact resistance, tensile crack resistance, resistance to heat increase, and workability decreases. In this study, the behavior of the soil profile under static and earthquake load and the structure on it against this effect using high-strength geotextile made of various polymers was studied using the Plaxis 2D finite element program. In this context, analyses were performed on soil models with dynamic load applied and without using geotextile material, and the deformation amounts were obtained as a result. By comparing the results of the analysis, it was observed that the use of geotextile has a positive effect, and it was seen that it can be used instead of traditional methods in solving problems related to geotechnical engineering. In addition, the use of geotextile materials has gained importance due to its easy application and longevity, where sustainability is very important.
