Abstract (EN)
Globalisation along with rapid and uncontrolled rise in world population caused an increase in human needs and forced companies to consume more resources. Coupled with increased resource consumption, natural balance deteriorates and environmental damage increases. At this point, the importance of recycling becomes evident. In order to prevent waste to be left to the receiving environment injuriously to the nature; waste management systems need to be developed, moreover, packing wastes should be reused, recycled and recovered. The systems functions starts at the point where packing waste get seperated from domestic waste and collected at the source. In the study; reutilisation, recycling and recovery of packing waste is discussed and recycling work in Eskisehir is presented. Research tries to demonstrate the recycling map of our country via a comparison of Eskisehir with 30 of other metropolitan municipalities by examining the position and work of Eskisehir in recycling.
