Abstract (EN)
The rapid growth in industrial technology necessitates the arrangement and creation of existing equipment and elements used in production to adapt to new technology. The arrangement to be made can be in the form of installing a completely new system instead of the system used, or it can be performed by updating the existing system. Overhead cranes, which are used in many areas of industry such as production lines in factories, freight transport and construction sector, also bring advantages such as revisions, lowering costs, easy maintenance, installation and continuity to the extent allowed by technology. As a result of its movement, the crane causes oscillation on the load it carries. This oscillation in the crane reduces transport efficiency. This situation creates the problem of suppressing load sway in cranes. Studies on the solution of this problem are available in the literature and crane control is handled as a solution to the pendulum problem. The crane system is an example of an incomplete drive system as the two exits (angle, position) must be controlled by one input (moment). In the literature, solutions for systems with incomplete drive are given as controlling both outputs at the same time. It can be achieved by reducing the oscillation that will occur during the start and stop times of the system and the position deviation associated with it, and the load remains from the center position. In this thesis, a PLC application will be implemented to solve the optimization and energy problem that will occur by suppressing the load swing in overhead cranes. Key Words: Anti-sway, control system, PLC control, optimization and energy
