Abstract (EN)
In order to increase the heat transfer, increasing the surface area of the convection or reducing the boundary layer thickness in the flow has been used by scientists for many years as passive methods. Increasing the surface area of the convection leads to a pressure drop, it also increases heat transfer. In many systems, increasing the heat transfer is achieved by the use of fins, thus pressure losses reduce the efficiency of the system. By using fin is aimed to optimize the ratio between pressure loss and heat transfer. In this way, the pressure loss remains at a tolerable rate, and heat transfer can reach the desired levels. In this thesis, same length (L) fins that are examined numerically for different Reynolds numbers, with punch, without punch, triangular or rectangular for different Reynolds numbers. These parameters are the fin height (e), fin angle (α), the height of the blade from the ground (b) and the distance between the fins (g) sixteen different models were analyzed in this work. The optimum values of design parameters were tried to be determined by using Taguchi design method. The obtained results were compared with the empty channel data, and their effects on heat transfer were evaluated. As it is compared to the empty channel, it is observed that the best increase in the heat transfer is observed in P9 model with %65.
