Eco recreation and tourism potential of Gi̇resun province

Voluntary basis, Recreation and Eco-Recreation are a kind of activities that provide pleasure and joy to human beings, it is a universal quality and enables the renewal and self-realization of people and gives a sense of freedom. The distinctive feature of recreation from Eco-Recreation is the equivalent of Eco-Recreation with the activities in the biotic environment. In this study, the definitions of recreation, eco-recreation tourism and eco-tourism, the similar differences between them, the objectives of the Eco-Recreation, Recreation and Giresun province to investigate the potential of Eco_ Recreation and Tourism, Examining the history, cultural and natural structure of Eco-Recreation The aim of this study is to obtain the data of the province, to comment with the data obtained and to produce an evaluation. In this study, 30 hotels with Tourism Management Certificate were surveyed and the data were analyzed by SPSS 22IBM and certain results were obtained and evaluated. Most of the hotel managers in Giresun complain about the insufficiency of incentives and investments, they argue that Giresun will be one of the pioneer provinces open to development in the field of Eco-Recreation with the consolidation of agricultural products and nature structure in Giresun. The number of domestic and foreign tourists increasing every year in Giresun province attracts the attention of investors, but due to different reasons, the desired facility supply and accommodation needs are not made. In particular, the absence of 5-star hotels shortens the duration of arriving tourists and accordingly the suitability of recreational activities as a city, but the shortage of trained staff shortens the number of days of domestic and foreign tourists arriving in hotels. Eco-Tourism In terms of quality intertwined with nature, new forms have been produced over the years by participating in adventure activities in tourism activities that will be realized with a good service understanding integrated with an unspoiled clean environment. Ecotourism, which is an ecological tourism with its open name, includes many activities as a type of tourism that includes tours to natural, unspoiled places. In the province of Giresun, there are many natural sports areas such as camping, angling, paragliding, trekking and rafting. In this study, the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) Analysis of Giresun province was conducted according to the literature surveys to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the region.
