Özet (EN)
The use of algaes (macroalgae) by humans dates back to B.C. 2700. The oldest method to use seaweed is as fertilizer. Because seaweed and algal products contain many compounds that stimuli plant growth, they have been used in agriculture widely. The sample material of seaweeds (Ulva sp. Corallina sp, and Cystoseira sp.) in this study has been collected from natural beds through Giresun seashore. Washed with sea water, algae has been brought to the laboratories in polythene bags and wash with tap water then hold in fresh water along 12 hours to eliminate their salt. Washed algae has been divided into 3 types of algae suspended and solid form and liquid fermented organic fertilizers have been obtained. Suspending and liquid fermented form fertilizers were obtained by water extraction method, solid fertilizer form were obtained by composting.According to the analyses results of fertilizers obtained from three different algaes their algal organic matter and plant nutrients contents meet with of organic fertilizer standards of Turkey. This study is believed to add contribution on studies of algal industry of Turkey and also take often turn of our scientific people
