Context index functional dictionary of the Divân of Giresunlu Refʿî

Giresunlu Refʿî, who was born in Giresun in the second half of the 19th century, wrote poems in the tradition of Turkish folk literature and witnessed his age with his poems, is one of the precious representatives of our divan poetry, although his name is not heard much. The different meanings used by such poets, who are not known very often, in their poems are also revealed through a contextual index study. This study includes both the divan and the contextual indexed dictionary of Refʿî from Giresun. In our study, the stylistic features of the poet were also revealed based on the poet's vocabulary. Although "Dîvân ve Gazeliyyât-ı Refʿî" is a remarkable work, it is not known enough today. In our study, both the features of Giresunlu Refʿî's divan were brought to light, and all the words in the divan were arranged alphabetically with their functions, thanks to the contextual index section. During the study, all the different meanings that the poet could use were taken into account and referenced sources were indicated. The aim of the study is to introduce one of our poets who have an important place in Turkish poetry but whose name is not heard, to show the subtleties of his poems to the public and to create a systematic data source about the poet's stylistic features and the world of meaning he uses. In the first part of the study, information about Refʿî from Giresun is given. In other sections, divan analysis was made. In the last part, the semantic world of our poet has been systematically revealed with our dictionary study.
