Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to put forth the impact of entrepreneurship to the development of businesses. In this framework, in the first part, entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship theories were evaluated in details. In the second part, the entrepreneurship financial support programs were examined. In addition, the Turkish Governmental Institution of Financial Support for SME' s (KOSGEB), financial supports are analyzed in this second section. In the thirds section of this thesis, the results of a case study is given, which was made in Ordu and Giresun provices of Turkey, on the impacts of entrepreneurial financial supports on the development of businesses. Moreover, in the third section, an interview, which was made by the researcher with a KOSGEB official is also presented. Finally, the third section also includes interviews with the business owners who took financial support from KOSGEB. The basic finding of this research based upon a case study is the following: There is a statistically significant and positive relationship between positive experiences of businesses about the financial support of KOSGEB, and the business performances. The results of data analyses also demonstrated that, there is a statistically significant and positive relationship between the businesses' positive experiences about the KOSGEB financial supports, and their share at the market. Finally, no statistically significant and positive relationship was achived between the positive experiences of business owners about the KOSGEB financial support, and their annual income.
