Migration,climate change and social innovation in disasters axis: The Turkey simple

Development economics started to rise after the Second World War and the concept of regional development came out by adding a space dimension to the understanding of development. Regional development aims at effective resource allocation and social justice among regions. With the emergence of the new concept of regionalism in the mid-1980s, the traditional understanding of regional development was abandoned. With the new understanding of regionalism, the mobilization of local agents has accelerated and regional development agencies have been established for the effective use of local resources and implementation of policies. The State Planning Organization has started to implement development plans in order to eliminate interregional imbalances. Regional development agencies have great importance in the implementation of development plans. In this study, the impact of dynamics of migration, disaster and climate change that our country already has experienced and which are expected to increase in the coming period to regional development has been determined not only socially but also economically. In the regional plans of regional development agencies, the adequacy of the studies regarding migration, disaster and climate change has been evaluated. Since national development will be achieved through the provision of regional development, the adoption of social innovation which is an alternative tool of regional development, the necessity of policies related to migration, disaster and climate change in the development plans, and recommendations have been made.
