Etnography of migration: Understanding migrants by multi-sited etnography method

This study aims that how Iranian, Iraqian and Syrian immigrants experience international irregular immigration process in global and local aspects and releasing what being immigrant experience means with using multi-sited ethnography method. Today, with changing context of international immigration, category of immigration actualizes heterogeneus and scattered instead of homogenous and linear. This study deals structural conditions which causes immigration and braekaways, interruptions and cooperations between immigrant categories in a relationally and interpretive perspective. In this survey, data collected for three areas, from Middle East to Europe scattered immigration routes and methods are analyzed. These becomes life story of immigrants, analyzed subject is historicised and understanding the immigrant with a self-reflexive manner becomes main purpose of thesis. Detailed conversations are done via Skype, WhatsApp and face to face with 26 immigrants in studied areas Middle East ( Iran, Iraq, Syria), Turkey (Gaziantep) and Europe( Switzerland, Norway, Germany). From the point of especially being unique of each immigrants argument, heterogeneusity of immigrant categories are tried to expose. Ethnography of immigration shows that preventive security policies of governments cause to reveal both restricting and accelerating factor in immigrants movement between the areas. It is seen that immigrants are fighting a running battle among governments' security policies regarding immigrations illegeally.
