Abstract (EN)
In this study, which deals with the migration processes of immigrants, the reasons whyimmigrants generally engage in immigration activities are discussed, and the effects of thismigration activity on crime are examined. This study described the immigrants as those witha fear of crime, also dealt with the Syrian immigration process, why the city of Gaziantep,Turkey and focused on their migration. The resulting factors of thesemigration processeshave been investigated, and the points where Syrians created a common life with the peopleof Gaziantep are mentioned. Moreover, the ideas that Syrian immigration raised the averagecrime rate of the city of Gaziantep, and Turkeyare investigated. Ultimately, it is stated infixed numbers that these ideas did not go beyond mere claims.
