Abstract (EN)

In this study, the efficiency of changes in live transfer conditions of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) was determined by examining some water quality parameters and gill histology. Trout with an average weight of 18.7 ± 0.8 g was used in the study. The pH levels of the transport water were adjusted to be high pH (YpH) 7.98 ± 0.2 and low pH (DpH) 6.01 ± 0.1. In addition, other groups were formed using 6 g / l salt and 10 g / l ceramic balls. The control group and all groups were designed as two replications. The test device is installed on a vehicle in order to reflect the reality of the conditions of transport. Ammonia, pH, dissolved oxygen and temperature values of water were measured in all groups at each hour. In addition, samples were taken from each group for gill histology and fixed every hour. The experiment was terminated at the 5th hour. At the end of the experiment, the lowest ammonia value was determined as 1.98 mg / l in the group with ceramic ball (ST). The highest ammonia value in the high pH (YpH) group was 2.83 mg / l. When the gill tissues of the fish were examined at the beginning and at the end of the experiment, it was determined that the significant differences were oedema and epithelial lifting in the control and high pH groups. Hyperplasia and epithelial detachment and multiple deformations were observed in the other experimental groups except the ceramic ball (ST). In the light of the findings, it was observed that there was less deformation in the ceramic ball group compared to the other groups. The data obtained at the end of this thesis study showed that ceramic products are especially useful in live fish transplantation due to the gill histology findings, the stability of the pH level and the effect of reducing ammonia value.
