Abstract (EN)
Embedded systems facilitate our daily lives, they provide an opportunity to complete jobs that require efforts in a short time. The interest on those devices are gradually increasing with each passing day with the aid of it?s advantages such as safe existences, readily available without the need for intervention by the users. So that; in this context, this research studies get a great supports from both academic and industrial areas. Devices which are mostly being used in daily lives consists from embedded systems. In this context, projection devices are also in this kind devices. User functions provided by these devices are improving by day after day with the parallel advances in technological developments. Although, this development of new products has usually higher costs. This thesis study was initiated according to identification mentioned above which is about a need of developping embedded system solution for currently in use old model projection device which will provide additional functions with low cost. Especially in our country, with the help of FATIH ( The Movement of increasing opportunities, improving technology) project, projection devices will be in indispensable position within the concept of ?smart classes? expecting to be spread all country in near future. For this orientation, it has played a driving role for this study. Because projection devices which will be used in this substance already have a wide application area in our schools and are thought to be used in FATIH project as well. According to this, applications allowing multi user access to projection device are thought as first order improvement on old model projection device. Therefore this thesis' work's matter referred to the design of an embedded system which has to respond the needs. In this study, embedded system solution performed on Beagleboard and Pandaboard development cards both having ARM architacture based processors. In the system, a design carried out with allowing the access from multiple users and having an internal operating system will offer many files formats that will support. So, users ( student) in a classroom can connect to projection device by a wireless access using his own computer to make a presentation or he is able to monitor others presentations on his own computer screen instead of projection screen.Performance evaluations of the system carried out by the latency parameters depending transmitted file formats and loads of processors while playing videos. According to the performance evaluations, data obtained from similar studies in the literature, was brought above to a satisfactory level by Pandaboard.
