Abstract (EN)
Laboratory tests are used to measure the physical capacity of athletes objectively and in detail. However, the laboratory environment is quite different from the field and in-competition environment where the athlete does his job and performance is essential. There is no study in the literature showing the levels of anaerobic performance and explosive power in the competition and creating a competition atmosphere using visual and auditory stimuli. Therefore, in our study, we created an competition atmosphere with the help of virtual reality using visual and auditory stimuli and observed the effect of this atmosphere on physical performance. 15 female basketball players participated in the study. Wingate anaerobic test was performed to the subjects 2 times with 3-7 days interval, once in the standard environment and once in the competition environment created with the help of virtual reality. As a result of the evaluations, a statistically significant increase was observed in the mean power parameter produced by the participants during the 30-second test in the virtual reality environment compared to the test performed with the standard procedure (p = 0.02). When the other parameters were compared, there were increases in favor of virtual reality environment but these increases were not statistically significant (peak power p=0,12 , minimum power p=0,57 , power drop p=0,36 , fatigue index p=0,96).
