Abstract (EN)

Semiology as a field of science covers a large area of study including; painting, illustration, graphic design, photography as well as various art events, communication among people and communities, behavior styles. Areas of semiology, examined by its own methods, aims to determine the rules of research, their form of operation, and to make a description and analysis. Illustration on its own and display system has a signification. Areas of semiology, examined by its own methods, aims to determine the rules of research, their form of operation, and to make a description and analysis. While examining an illustration, it's semiotic qualities should be considered. If an illustration is considered with its formal and aesthetic qualities it can be perceived incompletely and inadequately. In this research, graphics design course students from universities has been asked to participate a questionnaire to evaluate determining, understanding and perception differences, with the goal to reveal the relationship between these two fields by correlation of students knowledge level and path of interpretation.
