Özet (EN)

Due to its superior mechanical properties, Ti-6Al-4V alloy is used in industries such as aircraft, space, medicine and marine. The use of cutting fluid has an important role in reducing the high heat and friction that occurs in machining processes of difficult-to-cut materials such as titanium alloys. However, new solutions are sought for the harms of conventional cutting fluids and the improvement of their cooling properties. The MQL system is seen by researchers as an innovative solution. In the developing industry, it is known that the performance of the MQL system can be improved by adding nano-sized additives to the cutting fluid. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of cutting speed, feed rate and different concentration of nanoparticles on sustainable machinability in the development of the MQL system. ivort his purpose, many tests were carried out using base fluid, 0.5% Nano Graphene Particle (NGP) added cutting fluid by volume and 1% NGP added cutting fluid at a cutting speed of 80, 100 and 120 m/min, at 0.12, 0.18 and 0.24 feed rates. As a result of the tests, it was observed that 0.5% NGP supplementation by volume in the cutting fluid reduced the surface roughness and flank wear, and the addition of NGP to the base cutting fluid improved the chip morphology.
