Usage of graphic design elements in information design and an practice proposal

With the development of technology in the world, accelerating the flow of life and increasing visual presentations, the need to reach information faster has arisen. This situation has increased the importance of information design and has created new areas of application for the flow of information. At this point, the right designs created by information and graphic design together, to be easily perceived and to convey the message meet this need. In this study, the harmony of the two disciplines within themselves and how the information can be transferred to the masses in the most correct way is examined. In this research, the effect of graphic design elements on information design and its contribution in analyzing information is examined. Two disciplines serving the same purpose, important points and application areas were examined. In the first part of the research, graphic design, principles and elements of graphic design are examined conceptually. In the second part, information design, common relations with graphic design and application examples are examined. In the third part, the information design applications of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Mucur Vocational High School were examined and analyzed. As a result of these analyzes, new applications were presented. As a result of the study, it was aimed to identify the missing and revising designs for the vocational high school, to create new designs, to reorganize the studies to be revised and to benefit the individuals participating in the institution.
