Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the historical development of artificial intelligence paradigms and evaluate their impact on the field of graphic design and the role of these technologies in creative processes. In recent years, artificial intelligence-based approaches such as machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing have begun to transform the designer's production style by offering new possibilities in graphic design production. In this context, the research addresses the contributions of artificial intelligence-supported tools to graphic design, the conveniences they create and the limitations they bring. In the study, a general survey model was adopted from qualitative methods; in addition to a literature review, an applied poster design process was carried out. Within the scope of the application, ten different visuals introducing the Ancient City of Aizanoi were produced using ChatGPT's Sora tool; these visuals were converted into digital illustration form with the style transfer technique and adapted to poster format through Canva. The designs were evaluated in terms of content, form and context through artifact analysis. The findings reveal that artificial intelligence functions not only as a production tool but also as a creative partner in graphic design. The AI-assisted production process produced both aesthetically and functionally effective results; visual expressions of the past were reinterpreted with contemporary design language. However, it has been determined that artificial intelligence technologies should be used consciously and in a balanced manner; otherwise they may have negative effects on creativity and originality. As a result, artificial intelligence paradigms create not only a technical but also a conceptual transformation in graphic design; it is predicted that the creative potential can be further expanded with human-artificial intelligence cooperation.
