Abstract (EN)
In Master of Science thesis, weights of 5%, 15%, 30%, 45%, 60%, and 75% graphite reinforced cyclo-olefin copolymer (COC) polymers have been produced by extrusion and pressure molding technics. Wear and friction tests have been carried out at the sliding speeds of 0,5 m/s - 1,0 m/s -1,5 m/s, applied loads of 20 N - 30 N - 40 N and under dry conditions using pin-on-disc system. As a result of the experiments, coefficient of friction increases while wear rate decreases with increase both applied load and sliding speed. The coefficient of friction and wear ratio of the COC polymer decayed significantly with the addition of graphites. The lowest coefficient of friction and the wear ratio have been obtained in weight of 75% graphite reinforced COC composites. Keywords: Abrasion, Cyclo-Olefin Copolymer (COC), Extrusion, Friction, Graphite, Polymer.
