Abstract (EN)

The diversification of loads with the advancement of technology has led to the introduction of various equipment that causes deterioration in the quality of electrical energy. In the transmission and distribution of electrical energy, it is aimed that the energy reaches the end consumer in an uninterrupted and high-quality manner. The concept of quality energy means that the energy has a constant frequency, constant amplitude and sinusoidal structure. However, due to various loads connected to the system, it is often not possible to be in the requested form. Non-linear system elements cause distortions defined as harmonics and low-quality energy reaching the consumer. In this thesis, it is aimed to forecast current harmonics which have negative effects on energy quality in electrical power systems. In this context, firstly, a model is designed to represent a real power system. This design was made using MATLAB/Simulink platform. The harmonic data obtained from the system are processed with the NARX model and the harmonics are estimated, and solution suggestions are presented using the analysis results. Thanks to these recommendations, filtering and regulation infrastructure can be planned according to the detected harmonic distortion level.
