Abstract (EN)
The study area is in Güldüren Village, Emet district of Kütahya province, and its distance from the city center is 93 km on average and 25 km from Emet. Major oxide, trace element, and REE contents of the ore samples in the study area were evaluated for geochemical interpretations. While the Co/Ni values of the samples indicate that the mineralization comes from a hydrothermal source, the V/(V+Ni) ratio indicates that oxic conditions are also dominant in the mineralization in the region. In addition to these, when the ∑REE contents and the LREE/HREE ratio are evaluated, it can be concluded that hydrothermal solutions play an important role in the ore formations in the study area. The ore paragenesis is mainly composed of magnetite and hematite, while goethite and pyrite are observed to a lesser extent. The gang consists of quartz. It can be concluded that the mineralization in the study area is a contact metasomatic formation between Eğrigöz granitoid and recrystallized limestone. However, the presence of vein-shaped mineralizations in the field, geochemical data, the results in the graphs, and mineral paragenesis suggest that the iron formations in the study area occur in two different origins, both skarn and hydrothermal.
