Abstract (EN)

DETERMINATION OF SOME ELEMENTS FROM OR AND WASTES OF SILVER INDUSTRY BY ICP-OES Sultan AKTAŞ Chemistry, M.Sc. Thesis, 2019 Thesis Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Yunus ERDOĞAN SUMMARY Silver ores have considerably rich structures with respect to the minerals they contain. The studies that were conducted in our country were limited in terms of element variety. In this study, detection of some elements in silver industry ores and ore wastes was aimed. The mineral ores and samples of the tailing impoundment obtained from Kütahya - Gümüşköy Eti Gümüş A.Ş. Facilities were analyzed by solubilizing in acid and using inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) method. The amounts of silver, aluminum, arsenic, barium, boron, calcium, cadmium, cobalt, chromium, copper, iron, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, lead, antimony, strontium, titanium, thallium, vanadium, zinc elements were determined in the ore analysis. Results were obtained with by sensitive determination in three repeats and they are in ppm (mg/kg) level. This study has shown that valuable and significant metals were encountered in ore and waste samples.
