Abstract (EN)
Gümüşhane, on the historical Silk Road connecting Asia to Europe, has hosted many cultures and civilizations. In this study, Bağlarbaşı neighborhood, which we examined, is a residential area in the Central District of Gümüşhane, located in the Eastern Black Sea Region. The three region, A, B and C, determined within the Bağlarbaşı neighborhood, were examined in terms of their officially registered structures, green areas, pathways and the natural beauty of Harşit river, and their sustainability was questioned in terms of cultural tourism. The studing area within six officially registered mansions was examined concerning the historical Gümüşhane Mansions in the province. The urban transformation to be made over the years in Bağlarbaşı is obvious. Our aim is valuable as mansions located and taken under protection in other parts of Turkey, it is to show that there are structures in Gümüşhane. It presents a danger to concrete the structures by opening them without protection and losing their natural life. The effect shows that the social and cultural impacts of the architectural approach to the avenue, street and any environment where it is located. In light of the data obtained, it is aimed to make sustainable designs to open the studing area to alternative tourism by traditional architecture. The design contains innovative formatting on the parcel scale without losing the traditional texture rather than transformation. It is foreseen that in the region, which is handled with a holistic approach, rather than ordinary zoning plans, a zoning arrangement for protection is required. In terms of sustainability, this innovative approach is aimed at embracing local and touristic guests. It is important to create a sustainable building to analyze the needs of the region, to avoid the conflict between the modern building that started to form in the old texture and the old-new housing architecture. In the study, the status of traditional buildings, their renewability, and their sustainability in terms of green fields and cultural tourism were analyzed with SWOT analysis. By preserving the existing green texture, it has been revealed that historical structures and new fields of use that could not be damaged by the transformation. The field mission is valuable in every sense. It can be converted to museums, social facilities, walking areas, playgrounds, cafes, and restaurants. It is expected to show that it can be protected with a respectful stance to nature and that it can be passed on to the next generations.
