Abstract (EN)
Globalization and technological developments have accelerated since the 1990s and have profoundly affected the career approaches of both organizations and individuals. As the individuals of Generation Z, born in a techno global world, started to take place in the labor market, changes and innovations are experienced in the working life. As a result of the changes and innovations experienced, flexibility, digitalization, competition, professionalization and individualism have increased in working life. When the literature is examined, it is seen that there are few studies on the career approaches of Generation Z individuals. In this study, career and current career approaches, basic generations and Generation Z are explained conceptually and current career approaches of Generation Z individuals who are continuing their university education are examined by analyzing their demographic information. In this context, 410 students studying at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences were reached. The survey data of 384 students who were born in "1995-2004" and were in university education were analyzed and evaluated. According to the results of the analysis, a statistically significant relationship was found between gender, one of the demographic variables, and the sector they want to work in, but no statistically significant relationship was found with other demographic variables. It has been concluded that generation Z individuals participating in the survey will prefer autonomous and libertarian, competitive and problem-solving businesses in their working life.
