A perspective on the current approaches of architectural design education

This thesis tackles the hybrid education forms, which are derived from the phenomena of "architectural design education" and "education of architectural profession", in recent conditions. In an attempt to make these forms visible, field studies had been held, between the years 2011 and 2013 in the architecture departments of universities such as; Bauhaus U (Germany), Darmstadt TU (Germany), Rheinmain U (Germany), Brno TU (Czech Republic), Delft TU (the Netherlands), Royal Danish GSA (Denmark), Istanbul TU (Istanbul), Yıldız TU (Istanbul), Bilgi U (İstanbul), Orta Doğu TU (Ankara) and University of Eskişehir Osmangazi (Eskişehir). In these field studies, interviews had been conducted with 21 educators who study in the field of Architectural Design. Conceptual and methodological contents of the thesis had been based on the transcripts of these interviews using the method "thematic analysis".
