Özet (EN)
Full ceramic systems have developed in recent years, which has increased the expectation in the aesthetic appearance of the materials. Ensuring color harmony between ceramic restorations and natural teeth and maintaining this harmony for a long time are important criteria for aesthetic success. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of artificial aging on the color stability and translucency of five types of ceramic materials of different colors. 120 samples in A1 and A3 colors and 14 x 10 x 1.5 mm in size were prepared from five different ceramic materials (Vita Suprinity, Vita Enamic, IPS e-max CAD, Copra Smile, Copra Supreme) before and after aging. The aging process was carried out in a steam autoclave for 5 hours. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis was performed on one sample from each material. The data obtained from the study were evaluated using the non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis test, Independent Sample t Test, Mann-Whitney U test, Mixed Pattern Analysis of Variance in Repeated Measures and Bonferroni test. According to the findings of the study, the highest color change was observed in the Vita Enamic group as a result of the aging process, while the least change was observed in the IPS e-max CAD group. The color change of the Vita Enamic A3 color was found above the clinically acceptable level. The best translucent material was Vita Suprinity, the group with the least translucency was Copra Supreme and similar to Copra Smile. As a result of the aging process, translucency of the IPS e-max CAD material increased, while that of the Vita Enamic material decreased. When SEM images were examined, changes were observed in the structure of the materials as a result of the aging process. As a result: The change of ceramic type and material color was found to be effective in color stability and light transmittance of ceramic materials. It was observed that the change in the optical properties of the materials with different content was different as a result of the aging process. Keywords: ceramic, color stability, translucency, aging
