Abstract (EN)
The study of "The Representation of Woman From Present to Past: An Evaluation of Art From Turkey " analyzes the women's image in parallel based on examples from Turkey and Western world during the 19th and 20th century in which a rapid transformation occurs in art history. The study focuses on women's characteristic and analyzes the work of male and female artists during the period of rapid change and transformation that occurred after the declaration of the republic. Analogy between the Turkish female artists' approach to tradition in today's world and their ongoing transformation is provided in this study with comparison. In this context, the purpose of this study is to provide a historical evaluation of art by using the examples from the traditional perspective and transformation of the image.
