Worldwide energy needs are increasing with population growth. Fossil sources are the most commonly used to meet this need. The use of fossil resource causes an increase in temperature and therefore global climate change, especially with greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, it is a known fact that sustainable energy sources should be used instead of fossil resources for reducing global climate change and a sustainable environment. In this sense, solar energy is also a source of sustainable energy in recent times. Electricity generation from solar energy varies considerably due to regionally different factors, although it is easily applicable in all regions. Within the scope of this study, system efficiency was examined in 4 different regions, 8 provinces, depending on the electrical energy produced by addressing the solar power plant (SPP). In addition, the production values for each solar power plant are individually and regionally compared. In the study, solar power plants established especially in the eastern Anatolia region have lower production efficiencies, however, it has been observed that the yields in the provinces in Southeastern Anatolia and Mediterranean Regions are higher. According to production values, the total annual production value for 1 province in the Eastern Anatolia region was 1,864,660 kwh, while in Southeast Anatolia and Mediterranean Regions, 4.741.959 kwh (1.580.653 kwh per average province) and 3,103.195 kwh (per average province 1,551,597 kwh). In addition, when SSP in Sanliurfa, Gaziantep and Diyarbakir in the Southeast Anatolia region were examined, it was determined that the production values of the plant in Gaziantep province were higher than others. The main reason for obtaining quite different efficiency values in the production of electricity from solar energy in the region and province is determined as the radiation level and insolation time of the region and province where the plant is installed.
