Özet (EN)

The decrease in the use of fossil fuels, climate change and environmental concerns arising from the use of these fuels have led to great interest in renewable energies in recent years. Solar energy and biomass are two of the most useful renewable energy sources available in many places of the world. However, each has some disadvantages. By combining these energy sources and creating a hybrid system, disadvantages can be reduced and total energy efficiency can be improved. In this study, it is aimed to model a renewable source power generation system to meet the energy required by the process through energy production processes with gas engines from the synthesis gas formed as a result of the gasification of biomass material. Solar energy-assisted biomass gasification technology is one of the attempts to improve the efficiency of gasification. It aims to increase the biomass utilization rate and the quality of the product gas and reduce pollutant emissions compared to the traditional gasification process. The facility design and power generation systems of the modeled system were examined by computer-aided simulation using the Aspen Plus Simulation package program. In addition, the costs of the modeled systems were examined separately by using cost analysis methods for the hybrid system. In engineering applications, a payback period of approximately 22 - 23 years has been found. In the system created with the Aspen Plus simulation program, it is seen that the electrical energy efficiency is %9.25 and the total energy efficiency is % 85.76 . As a result of the investigations, a natural gas or fuel saving of % 31.30 was achieved by utilizing solar energy. Thus, the feasibility of a solar energy-assisted biomass gasification plant and a hybrid power generation system using renewable resources that can improve the utilization rate of biomass, increase the system output power and greatly reduce CO2 emissions has been investigated.
