Özet (EN)

In this study, 21 stations in 5 cities at South Aegean Region have been determined to specify the spreading species of Histeridae that found in the dung baited pitfall. Sampling with bi-montlhly from these stations throughout a year between September 2013 and August 2014 has been done by appyling dung baited pitfall traps. As a result of the study, 605 individual have been collected and evaluated. As a consequense 24 species belonging to 11 genera of the Histeridae family have been detected. Saprinus aegialius (Reitter, 1884), one of the detected species is a new record to Turkey's Fauna. The species Atholus duodecimstriatus duodecimstriatus (Schrank, 1781), Atholus duodecimstriatus quatuordecimstriatus (Gyllenhal, 1808), Carcinops pumilio (Erichson, 1834), Chalcionellus decemstriatus decemstriatus (Rossi, 1792), Hypocacculus metallescens (Erichson, 1834), Hypocaccus rugifrons (Paykull, 1798), Margarinotus ventralis (Marseul, 1854), Platysoma elongatum (Thunberg, 1787), Pholioxenus schatzmayti, and Saprinus tenuistrius (Marseul, 1855) have been reported from the reserch area for the first time. As a result of the study, the special preferences of the species in height and distribution have been specified; differences between stations have been found by Sorensen and Jaccard similarity indixes; and species diversity between stations were calculated by Shannon Wiener similarity indexes and their distribution in Turkey and the Palaearctic region has been given. Keywords: Histeridae, Phenology, New Record, Southern Aegean Region, Vertical Distribution.
