Abstract (EN)

From the first moment that humanity discovered photography, it did not find its pure reality sufficient and started to change and manipulate it in line with their own interests and desires. For this reason, many photo manipulation methods were discovered one after the other in the early years of the darkroom. With the advent of digital computers from the mid-20th century, humans had new, much more powerful tools for creating and manipulating images. In the 1960s, these new digital tools were included in the central area of artists, and the first examples of digital art began to spread to the world from research centers such as Bell Labs. The introduction of the digital system into the life of humanity limitedly affected the image manipulation in the analog system and traditional ways, at least until the end of the 1980s. More precisely, image manipulation through traditional means such as the dark room remained an effective method of image manipulation until the launch of the first personal computers, the IBM 5150 and Apple Macintosh. The biggest breakpoint for image manipulation started in 1990 with the widespread release of Photoshop. Since this date, digital media has overtaken the analog system as the most effective way of manipulating images. The 1990s were the years when there was an explosion in fake photos and the first related lawsuits were filed. Since the beginning of 2000, the digital process has accelerated and the transition to full digitalization has begun. Full digitalization not only allows information to reach all parts of the world instantly, but also has created two-way interaction in visual arts.
