Abstract (EN)

In recent years, strategic work of art is discussed utilizing the theories such as Mika Hannula?s thirdspace, small gestures and misunderstanding, Charles Esche?s modest proposals, andNicolas Bourriaud?s relational aesthetics. Strategic work of art emerged as early as thebeginning of 1960s. In this thesis, first the critique of art institutions by artists like MarcelBroodhaers ve Hans Haacke, and then the artists such as Jakup Ferri, Tellervo Kalleinen,Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen, Erwim Wurn, Carsten Höller, Olaffur Elliason, Hans Winkler,Hale Tenger, Halil Altındere, and Tehching Hsieh are analized to exemplify the strategicmodels.Furthermore, the necessity of autonomies such as the use of public space and artistinitiatives is emphasized in order to provide new strategies.Key Words: Strategy, tactics, experience, autonomous work of art, small gestures, modest proposals, relational aesthetics.
