Abstract (EN)

Throughout history, Iranian geography has been the scene of different ethnic groups' efforts to exist socially, culturally and politically. As one of the most populous minority groups of today's Islamic Republic of Iran, Azerbaijan Turks have an important place in both Iranian history and Iranian culture. İn this context, the position of the Azerbaijani Turks in Iran should be investigated and analyzed. In order to understand the impact of the issue on Iranian internal affairs and international relations, the Turkish states which have been in the history of Iran have been examined in this study. In the course of the Islamic Revolution, a broad analysis of the position of the Azerbaijani Turks was made. In the last chapter, the current problems experienced by the Azerbaijani Turks and the struggle of the Azerbaijani Turks against these problems were investigated. In this study, relational research model and ethnography research model are used, correlational and causal comparison methods are applied and the current position of Azerbaijan Turks in Iran is tried to be clarified. In connection with the historical process, the current position of the Azerbaijani Turks in Iran and some possible future developments have been tried to be elucidated.
