Abstract (EN)

Archaism examines the structures that were used in the past but have fallen out of use afterwards. One of the last works of the 15th century, Ahmed Pasha's Divan has important information, issues, and subjects in terms of linguistics. In this sense, many affixes and words that are not used today are found in Ahmed Pasha's Divan and this case necessitates an examination. This study, which bears the name The Archaic Elements in Ahmed Pasha's Divan from Today's Perspective, consists of two parts, which are The Archaic Elements in Affixes and The Archaic Elements in Words except for Introduction, Conclusion and References parts. In introduction part, the author defines archaism and gives information about the stages of her dissertation and the scope of it, moreover, she depicts literary, social and historical features of the 15th century and discusses Ahmed Pasha's life, literary identity, and works. In the first part, The Archaic Elements in Affixes, she examines sixteen forms. In the second part, The Archaic Elements in Words, she determines twelve words that are not used anymore in the sub-title Archaic Words. Although it is rich in terms of idioms and proverbs, these are so limited in terms of archaic use. Under the sub-title An Evaluation on Archaic Words, she presents the words in question by visualizing them with tables and graphs. While there are moderate examples in terms of archaic words, there are many examples of archaic affixes.
