Özet (EN)
In this study, the primary aim was to find out the concentration of blood groups of sportsmen who reached to national team level and achieved many successes in many international tournaments. The findings have been evaluated together with their nutrition habits and positive impacts of blood groups and nutrition principles on success are presented.104 male and 24 female and in total 128 sports people meeting the criteria were asked to answer a 32 questions questionnaire. The questionnaire which consisted 5 sections aimed to find out their demographic and anthropometric data, social perception conditions, some physiological features, nutrition habits and international success.SPSS-18 software was used for the evaluation of data obtained from the participant sportsmen. A significant difference is observed in the success of national wrestling team sportsmen with blood groups of 42% A Rh (ARH) and 33.2% 0 group (0RH) than the other groups. When the first international successes of national sportsmen are inspected, the comparison of achieving ranks for the first time in junior sportsmen with young and adult sportsmen show that juniors sportsmen have significant difference with 70.2% than youth with 24.2% and adults with 5.6%.The comparison of all the data collected for the questionnaire about blood groups of national wrestlers and internal distribution levels among themselves shows a difference from the Group B Rh (BRH) type blood which has a low density of 16% in Turkey in terms of their advanced level of success. The evaluation of the number of attendance to international championships and nutrition habits of sportsmen points out that these sportsmen care about balanced and healthy nutrition principles with lower levels of protein, fat, carbon hydrate and liquid consumption.Weight distributions of participant sportsmen are gathered at 55 kg., 66 kg. and 76 kg. in general. The blood types of the sportsmen in these weight categories are centered highest at (A RH+) while the prevalence of rare blood groups (A RH-), (B RH+) and (B RH-) in these weight groups are high.According to the results of the study, blood groups are centered around some specific groups with the increase in international success criteria. It is also observed that these sportsmen have more healthy and balanced nutrition habits than the sportsmen with lower levels of success. As a result; it is observed that the distribution of blood groups of national wrestling team members show similar rates to the general distribution of blood groups in Turkey. But when the blood group distribution of national sportsmen is separated from the general national distribution and rated among themselves, it is observed that less prevalent groups come into prominence for the intensifying groups around success. It is also observed that national wrestling team sportsmen do not care about balanced and healthy nutrition principles sufficiently and thus they should be informed about nutrition as a component of success.Today, many sportsmen, sport specialists and physiotherapists make studies and bring new approaches on the effects of chemistry of blood and blood physiology on sportive performance. () Thus, in order to pursue higher levels of success in our country, it is found necessary to evaluate if there is a correlation between blood groups, nutrition habits and success of national wrestlers. We are in the opinion that repeating the investigation of the impact of blood groups on the success of national wrestlers with studies with wider masses by using blood biochemistry, blood groups analysis and genetic researches will make a great contribution to the literature and sports world.
