Abstract (EN)
Although women who face various problems in their work life make extra efforts to get a place in their business life, they cannot reach the managerial positions they desire due to some obstacles they encounter. Queen bee syndrome is one of the obstacles to women in the work life. Women who have come to a managerial position by overcoming the difficulties they face can become queen bees by adopting corrosive attitudes towards their fellows. The main aim of this thesis is to examine the relationship between the work stress experienced by women working in the beauty industry and the queen bee syndrome they experience. For this purpose, data were acquired by applying online and face-to-face surveys to 150 women working in the beauty industry in Afyonkarahisar province. The questionnaire consists of three parts, and in the first part, demographic expressions are stated. In the second part, the Queen Bee Syndrome Perception scale was included, and in the third part, the work stress scale was used to measure the work stress levels of the employees. The data acquired through the questionnaire were analyzed with the SPSS program. As a conclusion of the study, it was determined that there is a negative and statistically revealing relationship between work stress and queen bee syndrome.
