An assessment and transcription of the court record of Bolu numbered 836 and dated hegira 1099 (1687-1688)

In my thesis I used the court record of Bolu which comprises information not only about the history of Bolu but also about the economic, religious, judicial and social structure of the city. The aim of my thesis is to set light to the history of Bolu in the years of 1687-1688.Firstly the transcription of court record of Bolu numbered 836 and dated H. 1099 (1687-1688) was realized. Then I try to expose the structure of Bolu such as military, administrative, economical and socio-cultural unit. Finally, I added a glossary in order to appreciate the Ottoman law language of this period.Key Words: The city of Bolu, Court Record, Law, City, The Ottoman State in the XVIIth Century.
