Abstract (EN)

This study titled as "The Transcription of Adab-ı Menazil Dated Hijri 922 and the Analysis of Structure and Meaning of the Turkish Compound Verbs in the Book" based on the formation of the transcription of Adab-ı Menazil text and the analysis of structure and meaning of Turkish compound verbs in the book. The study is consisted of introduction, analysis, text and conclusion. In the introduction section, the subject, the importance, the purpose, the method of the research are emphasized. Then the author of Adab-ı Menazil is introduced. At the beginning of analysis section, the descriptions and the classifications, the ideas that the researchers have cited are given and evaluated. In the continuation of analysis section, structure and meaning analysis and the classification of Turkish compound words in Adab-ı Menazil are presented. The compound verbs in the text are classified as noun+verb base compound verbs, verbs+verbs base compound verbs, verbal+verb base compound verbs, meaningly merged-forming idioms compund verbs. In the classification, both structure and meaning are taken into account. Under every title, all the verbs in the text in that classification are presented, and their charecteristics of structure and meaning are referred. In the text section there is a transcription of the Adab-ı Menazil. In the dictionary section the Turkish compound verbs and their meaings are presented. In the conclusion section, in addition to a brief evaluaiton of the book and the author, there is a conclusion of analysis of Turkish compound verbs' structure and meaning characteristics. Adab-ı Menazil was written for the women as a moral, advice, and a religious knowledge book. The book has religious tales, stories and hadiths and verses about every subject represented. Adab-ı Menazil has a very rich collection of Turkish compund words property. It is remarkable that there are so many meaningly-merged, becoming idiom compound verbs used in the book. Ādāb-ı Menāzil which was written between the end of the Old Turkish Anatolian period and the beginning of the Ottoman Turkish period could provide multi dimentional material for the Turkey Turkish reseaches.
