Aleppo on crusades (1097-1124)

The city of Aleppo, IX. X. and XI. Due to its strategic location in the centuries, it was in an important position for both Islamic states and Byzantine. Aleppo, whose importance increased with the arrival of the Crusaders in the region, witnessed the invasion movements. Many places around him were conquered by the Crusaders. However, Aleppo could not be taken over by the Crusaders due to its strong fortress and political agreements. In this study, information is given about the political and social history of Aleppo between 1097-1124 in the Crusades. Along with Aleppo and the Islamic period in the ancient times, the struggles of the Turks in the region were mentioned. Besides, since the Crusaders came to the Syrian region in the period of Aleppo Seljuk Meliki Rıdvân, this period is widely explained. The relationship with Batinis is mentioned. One of the aims of this study is to determine the power of Batinis in Aleppo. The establishment of Melik Rıdvân in a Aleppo (propaganda center) in Aleppo on behalf of Batinis shows the value it gives them and how much they are affected by them. During his 18-year rule, Ridvan tried to prevent Aleppo from falling into other hands, especially the Crusaders. Alparslan al-Ahras, his son who took over the title of the rebel upon the death of Rıdvan, was able to stay on the throne for a short period of a year and fought against Batinis. After his death, his brother Sultanşah was replaced. However, since Sultanşah was at a young age, the management of Aleppo was left to the hands of Atabeg Lu. However, his wrong policies, the people of Aleppo sent news to Artukoğlu İlgazi for the management of the city. When İlgazi took over the management, he started to get rid of Aleppo troubled days and was in constant struggle with the Crusaders until his death. Shortly after the death of İlgazi, Belek b.
