Abstract (EN)

In the Crusades, one of the main subjects of World History and Islamic History, there is clearly a "Christian - Islam" struggle, in other words, the "Crusade – Crescent" struggle. Of these campaigns, the Second Crusade in the first half of the twelfth century was of particular importance for Islamic History. As the continuation of the Syrian Seljuk State, Damascus Böri's or Tuğteginli's Atabeglik (Seljuks province governing by Atabeg) had not yet completed half a century, but Damascus which is the center of Atabeglik was besieged with the Second Crusade. At this time, the mighty vizier and Atabeg Muînüddin Üner were present in the Atabeglik of Damascus. When Damascus allied with the Crusaders of Jerusalem when necessary, this time he was besieged by the more equipped and crowded Crusaders as part of the Second Crusade. Muînüddin Üner deal out his siege with his military and diplomatic skills on the fourth day and saved Damascus from invasion and became the undisputed winner of the Second Crusade. This study, is the biography of a hero, Damascus Atabek Muînüddin Üner, who cleverly defended against the Second Crusade, which happen in the first half of the 12th century and besieged Damascus, and managed to return them United Crusaders to their original place in four days. The study found that Muînüddin Üner was neglected by historians of the Second Crusade and that he was a different personality from his contemporaries as soldiers, statesmen and politicians. It shows the heroism and successful management of Atabeg Muînüddin Üner, who had an active voice in a twenty-year period of the fifty-year political history of the Damascus Atabeks.
