Abstract (EN)
Having confidence in hadīth sources is only possible by knowing their methods of compilations. One of these methods known as hadīth-receiving and transmission methods is wiǧāda. In the thesis, it is aimed to establish the value of hadīth compilations based on a thorough analysis of the nature of wiǧāda, and the approaches about these kinds of traditions. In the first chapter in which the literal and technical meanings of wiǧāda are discussed, the forms of transmissions, the connected types of hadīth, and its relation to other terms of hadīth methodology, above all in terms of its connection with iǧāza are studied. In the second chapter in which the evaluations in hadīth sources are dealt with the considerations about wiǧāda especially with respect to hadīth collections are mentioned. In the third chapter in which the contemporary approaches to wiǧāda are discussed, the opinions about transmission of wiǧāda and applying/ruling on the reports transmitted through wiǧāda are given. As a result of the study, it is seen that in spite of the different rankings and names, wiǧāda comes generally in the last place within the hadīth-receiving and transmission methods. In addition, it is established that transmission by means of wiǧāda is possible, and if trust in wiǧāda is obtained, ruling on it is also permissible.
