Abstract (EN)
Although the desire for long life and ultimately immortality inherent in human nature is the promise of the hereafter, there have been some groups and movements trying to achieve it in this world. One of them is transhumanism. The transhumanism movement, which emerged in the mid-20th century and became a challenge in the 21st century, has been included in the field of religion and has tried to integrate the immortality promised by the creator to man in this world. Transhumanism, which sees humans as incomplete and flawed by nature, works towards the improvement of the human generation and tries to achieve a healthy and long life and ultimately immortality thanks to science and technology. In this study, we tried to deal with the immortality of the soul, which is the subject of hadith narrations, in the context of the immortality promise of transhumanism. In addition, we tried to evaluate the narrations about healthy nutrition, preventive medicine, destiny, sustenance, death and prayer in the context of the long life promise of transhumanism. Although it is said that transhumanism denies the soul, we see that it indirectly touches the phenomenon of soul. We see that sometimes they define it as an energy that gives life to a person, and sometimes as a mind or consciousness that expresses the orientation and character of a person. It should not be overlooked that the soul, which is the subject of the metaphysical field, is a substance that provides the personality, moral and legal aspect of the person, the freedom of will, choice and choice, as well as a physical power that enables the blood, brain and other organs in the biology of the human being to work.
