Abstract (EN)
One of the most important and comprehensive subjects of the science of hadīth methodology, the rejected hadīth is a term which denotes the traditions to be rejected, and used as the counterpart of the accepted (maqbūl) hadīth. Under the heading of weak ahādīth, there are many types of rejected hadīth which are studied in the thesis as two parts, weak and forged traditions. In the first chapter, rejected hadīth is analysed in terms of its meaning in literal and technical sense, and its origins and development are studied within the framework of the selected sources. Thus, the place of types of rejected ahādīth in the sources is established. Subsequently, a closely related subject, the reasons for criticism of transmitters, is dealt with, and the types of traditions are mentioned in terms of causes of invalidation of transmitters. In the second chapter, origin, variation and development of descriptions rejected traditions are discussed based on the chronology of the sources. In the third chapter, considering the differences among the definitions of the terms, both the internal variation of the definitions given for the terms and differences in terms of its relation to the other terms are tried to analysed comparatively. As a result, by determining and discussing the origins of rejected traditions, and their development process, it is aimed to show stages in which the term reached its perfect state. In this context, it is also aimed to establish the semantic framework of the terms by the comparison of their types. Finally, the nature of the types included in the definition and scope of rejected hadīth is analysed, and a comparative evaluation is made about the content of the terms.
