Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACTIn our country, some of our electrical energy is produced in thermic energy stations. The mostimportant side products of these stations is fly ashes. Getting rid of these ashes rises someeconomical and ecological problems. Some studies have been done in order to make acontribution of these ashes for the economy and in the end of these studies the conclusion ofthese ashes can be used in building sector instead of a certain amount of binding material hasbeen made. The aim for this is the decreasing of the cost of produced cement and the cost ofgetting rid of these fly ashes and moreover providing ecological balance. In this study , Yatağan fly ash which is in accordance with Turkish Standarts, was used.⺠% 10 ) according to the rate ofYatağan fly ash was classified as of high calcium? (CaOtotal calcium amount. For the amount of cement , it was 220 kg/ m³. The cement was the normal portland cementwhich is produced in Afyon Cement Factory. As for the light aggregate , pumice diatomicand tuff was used and experiments were done on 216 examples. As for the addition , insteadof a certain amount of cement ( %0, %10, %20, %30), fly ash from Yatağan Power stationwas used. Heat conduction coefficients in Machinery Engineering Faculty at Dokuz EylülUniversity, other experiments are done in the laboratories of Afyon Kocatepe UniversityTechnical Teaching Faculty Education of Building. In this study we examined how this block elements with light aggregate affects the resistancefor compressive stress the first and next years, ultrasound speed, and the aspects of capillaryand heat conduction. When we used fly ash instead of a certain amount of cement in producing blocks with lightaggregate, we reached positive consequences. But if this relate is higher we find negativeconsequences.Key words: fly ash, light aggregate, compressive stress, ultrasound, coefficient of thermalconductivity
