Abstract (EN)
In this study we have done to improve the structural and mechanical properties of aluminum alloys, which provide use in many areas; We aimed to obtain a stronger material by adding zirconium at different rates to the Al alloy, which is a ductile material.The fact that the zirconium element can be added as an alloying element by providing a hardening to an alloy material, increasing its strength, providing a perfect harmony in the bond structures, contributing to the increase of the melting temperature, will be a reference model in facilitating human life as a result of the use of this element in different sectors.In our thesis, aluminum-based Si-Cu-Ni-Mg reinforced alloy material is pressed in powder metallurgy with the reinforcement of Zirconium (Zr) element at different rates and poured by vacuum arc grinding method (provided that there are 4 different samples, the first is 81% Al, 12% Si, 4% Cu, 2% Ni, 1% Mg), (second is 80% Al, 12% Si, 4% Cu, 2% Ni, 1% Mg, 1% Zr), (third is 79.5% Al, 12% Si, 4% Cu, 2% Ni, 1% Mg, 1.5% Zr), (fourth is 79% Al, 12% Si, 4% Cu, 2% Ni, 1% Mg, 2% Zr) on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the formed Al-Si-Cu-Ni-Mg-Zr alloy was investigated.
