Abstract (EN)

The resistance of the transportation sector to a large extent against fossil fuels causes an increase in worldwide energy consumption and carbon emission rates. Serious issues such as climate change, air bans and economic problems with the use of fossil fuels lead to difficulties in energy. This study examines the integration of fuel system and solar energy as alternative energy sources in the rail systems sector and the tram, a light rail transportation vehicle currently used in Turkey. The hydrogen energy obtained can be stored in hydrogen tanks of different structures and is converted into electrical energy through a fuel system unit according to need, playing the role of meeting the load demand. In addition, solar energy, a clean and strategic energy source, is used together with photovoltaic technologies. In order to achieve all these, Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell data, sunlight and temperature data of the region where the tram is located, and the features of a model of the tram's energy consumption data in Matlab Simulinkte. Simulations made on this product show that the consumption of the tram can be met at least 8% and at most 36%.
