Abstract (EN)

Excavation storage facilities are areas where excavations are collected in a controlled manner. With the increase in population and the growth of the construction sector, the amount of excavation that increases may cause environmental and social problems. Therefore, the establishment of excavation storage facilities has become a necessity. Landfill site selection is one of the most important stages of excavation management. Many criteria have been taken into account in the location selection of storage facilities. In this study, the most suitable excavation storage facility location selection process was carried out in Trabzon province. Locations that could be excavation storage facilities in Trabzon scale were analyzed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), one of the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods, and new excavation storage facility areas were revealed as alternatives. Capacity calculations, transportation-access and cost analyzes were carried out for suitable areas determined as alternatives.
