The aim of this study, in which we focus on Hâfız Ahmet Çalışır, is to present an example of the artist's style and analysis in the field of Turkish music through the artist's Mevlevi Ayini in the Hicazkâr maqam. In line with this purpose, based on the interviews we made with Çalışır, the artist's educational and professional life, his works, activities, his viewpoint on music and his style are emphasized in the first chapter. In the second chapter, a thematic, methodical, and lyrical analysis of the Mevlevi Ayini form in the Hicazkar maqam, which is one of the tekke music forms composed by Çalışır, is made. In this chapter, a general explanation is made about Mevlevilik, the Mevlevi Ayini form, and the Hicazkar maqam. Afterwards, the methodical pattern of the Mevlevi Ayini named Nev Niyâz, composed by Çalışır, the Persian lyrics used in the Mevlevi Ayini, the meaning of those lyrics, and their metrical patterns are determined. Lastly, the Mevlevi Ayini named Nev Niyaz is divided into musical phrases and analysed based on its maqam. Besides, all of the composer's compositions and his opinions on some of his colleagues and students are included in the appendices of the research.
