Abstract (EN)

Due to the nature of today's media ecolgy, there is a big change of news being delivered without an editorial filter, thus changed the quality and especially the perception of news as well. The attitutes of both the conventional mainstream and the social media professions have a key role on the defection of news in the process of mediating the "real" while making the news. In this frame, the real meaning of news became unimportant for the audience and the new concept named Post Truth came up. Because of the fact that the audience prefers to read the news biased on their own political, economical, cultural and ideological beliefs. This study examines the Post Truth concept widely in different dimensions and constitutes a theorical framework. News, as a concept, is also examined in different aspects and the effects of Post Truth to the news in the dimension of reality is analyzed. As case study to inquire the delivery of fake news by state, the Ukrainian passenger plane shot down with a missile in the January of 2020 case is chosen. In order to understand the perception of the audience for the reality of news and its place in the context of truth within the framework of Post-Truth, a face to face survey with 200 contributors between the ages of 18-70 is conducted in different districts of Istanbul.
